Very much people driven, we are here to delve deeper into the fascinating lives of those who have chosen the path less traveled in their quest to let their true freakishly glorious selves shine. Even in the face of a highly hegemonic global cultural paradox. The people who feature in Aweh have chosen to live on the fringes of society for the sake of their voices and experiences being heard and documented in all its uninhibited noxiously intoxicating prestige.

However, just like the weather, we can change our paths and mood at any given stage, being true to the moody, bratty, vibrant and eclectic motley bunch of eccentrics that make up the contemporary South African cultural landscape.

Aweh is not interested in the best or the worst, we aren’t here to judge, this is not a popularity contest and we are not influencers. We are storytellers, here to tell the stories of people dear to us, who are doing interesting, innovative and inspiring work in the art world, whilst being true to their craft and themselves.
